Since 1997, I’ve been a fan of the illustration and artwork of Becky Cloonan.
Based in New York, she and several friends run Estrigious.com where they showcase their individual and collaborative projects.
She has worked on many comic series including PIXU, Jennie One, Demo, and American Virgin.

WTF, Pepsi? I’d like to clearly emulate some reader response to this article and ask if this is at Dollar General yet. I’d thought the whole thing was a hoax.
And you’ve got it next to Emerald nuts which has such a solid brand and identity. There are many people that deserve a good reprimanding here, and not just the stocking manager at Hy-Vee, Mr. Pepsi exec! Oh, there is drama unfolding.
Not Happening
So as much as I like Zooey Deschanel and Mark Wahlberg, and really, everything M.Night has done so far, The Happening just wasn’t doing anything for me tonight. Apart from a really cool concept of a plague making people kill themselves, it seemed pretty predictable and without impact. Even the climax of our knowing what supposedly caused it didn’t seem all that revealing. Night said he was going for a great B movie, and I guess he pulled it off.
Regardless, I’ve been playing with new apps that are very impactful and even revealing. Here I’ve used Skitch and my wacom to sketch out some letterforms. I’ve downloaded a free font creation program to play around with…so hopefully good things will come of it.

Maybe not actually, but it sure keeps me busy. It wasn’t quite tall enough for my drawing table, so I’ve got it sitting on my Adbuster’s Design Anarchy book. It makes a statement, but I’m just not sure of what yet. :]
